Bulk tanker trucking.
California, at scale.

Liquid bulk, dry bulk, hazmat-rated tanks, pneumatic offload — California bulk freight handled by drivers and equipment built for the work. Dispatched 24/7 from Salinas.

USDOT 2917586 · MC 983328 · Salinas, CA

Bulk freight is about the equipment, the spec, and the driver — in that order.

Bulk tanker work isn't general freight in a different trailer. Liquid commodities need the right tank material, the right pressure rating, and the right valve and fitting setup. Dry bulk needs pneumatic offload that doesn't damage product. Hazmat in either form needs an endorsement, placards, and a driver who knows what they're hauling and why. Earthwise has run California bulk lanes since 2016 with equipment matched to the load and drivers who can read a manifest.

Our home base is Salinas. Our dispatch line is open 24/7. And we don't do general freight — bulk, hazmat, and food-grade are the only loads on the board.

01 / What we haul 04

Liquid and dry bulk, matched to the right tank.

Four bulk categories cover most of what California shippers ask us to move. If the commodity isn't here, call dispatch — we'll tell you straight whether we're the right carrier.

02 / How we operate 04

How bulk done right looks at dispatch.

The difference between a clean bulk load and a contamination claim is a chain of small disciplines. Here's the chain.

01

Tank match to commodity

Material, pressure rating, fittings, and valves matched to the product before we accept the load. Wrong tank, no acceptance — not "we'll make it work."

02

Wash and prep

Food-grade gets a documented food-grade wash. Hazmat gets cleaned per the commodity. Conflict between prior load and current load? Fresh trailer — every time.

03

Load, seal, paperwork

Weights confirmed, seals applied and logged, shipping papers (and placards if hazmat) verified before the truck moves. Driver reads what they're hauling.

04

Deliver and document

Pneumatic offload or pump-off per the receiver's setup, seal integrity verified, POD and BOL closed out the same day. Wash cert with the load when food-grade.

03 / Credentials 04

Verifiable credentials.

Every credential we claim is documented and verifiable. Cross-check on SAFER before you call.

05 / Shipper questions 06

Bulk freight questions shippers ask.

Anything not covered here, dispatch will answer on the phone.

What commodities do you haul in bulk tankers?

Liquid bulk: edible oils, chemicals, hazmat liquids, water-based commodities. Dry bulk: flour, sugar, grain, plastics, ag commodities, and other free-flowing dry product. Both food-grade and industrial — call dispatch with the commodity and we'll match the right tank.

Do you have hazmat-rated tank trailers?

Yes. We run DOT-spec hazmat tankers for Class 3, 5, 8, and 9 regulated bulk liquids, operated by HAZMAT-endorsed drivers with full placarding and shipping-paper discipline.

Can you do pneumatic offload for dry bulk?

Yes. Pneumatic-discharge equipment is standard for dry bulk loads — pellets, powders, grain, and other commodities that discharge under air. Food-grade hoses and fittings available for sanitary loads.

How do you handle wash and prep between loads?

Tank wash protocols depend on the previous load and the next one. Food-grade loads always get a documented food-grade wash. Hazmat loads get cleaned per the commodity. Cross-contamination risk gets a fresh trailer assignment — no shortcuts.

What California lanes do you run for bulk freight?

We run bulk freight statewide from Salinas — Central Coast, Bay Area, Central Valley, Sacramento, and Southern California including the LA basin. Port drayage available out of Oakland and LA/Long Beach for bulk containers.

Are you DOT and FMCSA registered?

Yes. Earthwise Transportation operates under USDOT 2917586 and MC 983328, both verifiable on the FMCSA SAFER public database. Hazmat-appropriate liability and cargo insurance on file.
